الْأَرْض
This verse invites us to contemplate the earth as a balanced gift.
And the earth - We have spread it and cast therein firmly set mountains and caused to grow therein [something] of every well-balanced thing.
Quran, Al-Hijr 15:19
The verse describes three divine actions: spreading the earth, placing mountains in it, and growing well-balanced vegetation. These elements are presented together, without cause and effect. They show an ordered and measured creation. When we walk on stable ground, see mountains, or eat fruits, we can recognize this balance. This recognition leads us to gratitude towards the One who arranged everything.
Today, observe an element of nature (a plant, a mountain, the ground) and say inwardly: 'Thank You, Allah, for this balanced creation.'
