القُنُوط
This verse invites us to keep hope, even when circumstances seem difficult.
فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡقَٰنِطِينَ
“So do not be of those who despair.”
Quran, Al-Hijr 15:55
In this passage, messengers give good news to someone who is surprised because he feels old. They reply that this news is true and urge him not to be among those who lose hope. The following verse clarifies that only the misguided despair of Allah's mercy. In our lives, we may go through moments of doubt or weariness. This verse reminds us that hope in Allah is the right attitude. Today, if a difficulty seems overwhelming, remember that Allah's mercy is greater than our worries.
Identify a situation that discourages you and formulate a sentence of hope in Allah about it.
