The angels' peace for the righteous

This verse teaches us how the angels welcome believers at the moment of death.

ٱلَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّىٰهُمُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ طَيِّبِينَ يَقُولُونَ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

Those whom the angels take in death, while they are good, they say, 'Peace be upon you. Enter Paradise for what you used to do.'

Quran, An-Nahl 16:32

The verse describes a comforting scene: the angels come to take the souls of believers who lived righteously. They greet them with peace and invite them to enter Paradise. This reward is linked to their good deeds, as the previous verse mentions the gardens promised to the pious.

This is not an automatic promise but an encouragement to persist in doing good. Every sincere action counts. Today, we can sow seeds of hope by performing an act of kindness, even a small one.

Today, perform a sincere good deed, like helping someone or saying a kind word, knowing it matters for the hereafter.
