Patience that Relies on Allah

This verse describes those who persevere while placing their trust in Allah.

ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُواْ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

Those who endured patiently and upon their Lord relied.

Quran, An-Nahl 16:42

This verse combines two qualities: patience and trust in Allah. It refers to those who emigrated for His cause after being wronged, as shown in the previous verse. Their perseverance is not passive; it is grounded in a trusting relationship with their Lord.

In our daily lives, we may face trials or difficult changes. This verse invites us not to face adversity alone, but to combine our patient effort with sincere trust in Allah, who knows our situation.
