This verse reminds us that our senses and intellect are gifts from Allah to make us grateful.
And Allah has extracted you from the wombs of your mothers not knowing a thing, and He made for you hearing and vision and intellect that perhaps you would be grateful.
Quran, An-Nahl 16:78
This verse reminds us that we are born knowing nothing. Then Allah grants us hearing, sight, and intellect. These gifts are not random: they enable us to understand and thank Him. Every day, we use these abilities without thinking. Realizing these blessings invites us to gratitude. Thanking Allah means recognizing His favors and using them for good.
Today, take a moment to thank Allah for your sight, hearing, and intellect, then use one of these gifts to help someone.
