Keeping Your Word

This verse invites us to be faithful to the commitments we make to Allah and to others.

وَأَوۡفُواْ بِعَهۡدِ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا عَٰهَدتُّمۡ

And fulfill the covenant of Allah when you have taken it.

Quran, An-Nahl 16:91

Verse 91 of Surah An-Nahl asks us to honor our commitments to Allah and to people. It reminds us that Allah is a witness to our actions and knows everything we do. Thus, keeping our promises is a sign of piety and seriousness.

In our daily lives, we often make commitments, big or small. Whether to our loved ones, colleagues, or ourselves, our word carries weight. By honoring our promises, we show respect for Allah and for others.

Today, fulfill a small promise you made, even if it seems insignificant.
