الْمَغْفِرَةُ
This verse brings good news to those who persevere after trials.
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهَا لَغَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ
Your Lord, after that, is certainly Forgiving and Merciful.
Quran, An-Nahl 16:110
The verse mentions believers who emigrated after being tried, then struggled and were patient. It associates these efforts with the promise of divine forgiveness and mercy. The immediate context shows that this promise is for those who remained steadfast in faith despite hardships. In our daily lives, after a sincere effort to overcome a trial, we can turn to Allah with confidence. His forgiveness and mercy are accessible to those who persevere.
Today, after a difficult moment, take a minute to say: 'O Allah, I ask You for Your forgiveness and mercy.'
