تَوْبَة
This verse teaches us that sincere repentance opens the door to forgiveness.
ثُمَّ تَابُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَأَصۡلَحُوٓاْ
then repent and correct themselves
Quran, An-Nahl 16:119
This verse addresses those who have done wrong out of ignorance. It is not an excuse but a human reality. After the mistake, two steps are mentioned: repentance and reform. Repentance is returning to Allah, and reform is improving one's behavior in a concrete way. This passage reassures us: after these efforts, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. It does not promise a specific reward, but it describes His own attribute. This encourages us not to despair, while reminding us that forgiveness follows a sincere approach.
Today, identify a habit to correct and take one small concrete action to improve it, such as replacing a negative word with a positive one.
