صَبْر
This verse teaches us that patience is a gift from Allah.
وَٱصۡبِرۡ وَمَا صَبۡرُكَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِۚ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا تَكُ فِي ضَيۡقٖ مِّمَّا يَمۡكُرُونَ
And be patient, and your patience is not but through Allah. And do not grieve over them and do not be in distress over what they conspire.
Quran, An-Nahl 16:127
In this verse, Allah commands us to be patient and clarifies that this patience comes only through Him. He consoles us by telling us not to grieve or be distressed by the schemes of others. In our daily lives, we may be tempted by sadness or worry. This verse reminds us to turn to Allah to find the strength to remain patient and calm.
Today, when you feel overwhelmed by a difficulty, repeat inwardly: 'My patience comes from Allah' and entrust your sorrow to Him.
