طَائِر
This verse reminds us that every person is responsible for their own actions.
وَكُلَّ إِنسَٰنٍ أَلۡزَمۡنَٰهُ طَـٰٓئِرَهُۥ فِي عُنُقِهِۦۖ
And [for] every person We have imposed his fate upon his neck.
Quran, Al-Isra 17:13
The verse says that every human being has his deeds attached to his neck. This means our actions follow us and are part of us. On the Day of Resurrection, a book will be presented to each person, containing everything they have done. This verse invites us to realize that we cannot escape our responsibilities. Every choice matters and will be revealed. It encourages us to act sincerely and not to rely on others for our own decisions.
Today, take a moment to reflect on an action you have done that you would like to improve, then decide on one small concrete step to change it.
