هِدَايَة
This verse reminds us that guidance and misguidance are personal choices.
مَّنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهۡتَدِي لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيۡهَا
Whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul. And whoever errs only errs against it.
Quran, Al-Isra 17:15
This verse from the Quran teaches that guidance benefits the one who follows it, and misguidance harms the one who goes astray. Each person is responsible for their choice. The verse also clarifies that no bearer of burdens will bear another's burden, and no one is punished without a messenger being sent. In our daily lives, we can reflect on our own choices. We cannot force others to be guided, but we can choose to follow the right path for ourselves.
Today, take a moment to reflect on a decision you need to make and consciously choose what seems right and good.
