الْقَتْلُ خَشْيَةَ إِمْلَاقٍ
This verse forbids killing one's children out of fear of poverty.
وَلَا تَقۡتُلُوٓاْ أَوۡلَٰدَكُمۡ خَشۡيَةَ إِمۡلَٰقٖۖ نَّحۡنُ نَرۡزُقُهُمۡ وَإِيَّاكُمۡۚ إِنَّ قَتۡلَهُمۡ كَانَ خِطۡـٔٗا كَبِيرٗا
And do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Indeed, their killing is ever a great sin.

The verse explicitly forbids killing one's children for fear of poverty. It reminds us that Allah provides for them and for us. This command is part of a series of moral prohibitions, as shown by the next verse which forbids adultery. Today, this fear may manifest as anxiety about providing for one's family. The verse invites us to place our trust in Allah, who knows His servants perfectly, as mentioned in the previous verse.
