الْعِلْمُ
This verse invites us to act only on the basis of knowledge, for we will be accountable for our deeds.
وَلَا تَقۡفُ مَا لَيۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌۚ إِنَّ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡبَصَرَ وَٱلۡفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ كَانَ عَنۡهُ مَسۡـُٔولٗا
And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.
Quran, Al-Isra 17:36
This verse asks us not to pursue what we have no knowledge of. It then mentions hearing, sight, and the heart: about all these, one will be questioned. This means we should use these faculties carefully, as we will be held accountable. In daily life, this encourages us to verify before speaking, sharing, or acting. For example, before repeating information, we can ask ourselves if it is well-founded.
