مَكْرُوهُ السَّيِّئَاتِ
This verse reminds us that everything evil is detested by Allah.
كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ كَانَ سَيِّئُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّكَ مَكۡرُوهٗا
All that - its evil is ever, in the sight of your Lord, detested.
Quran, Al-Isra 17:38
In the previous verses, Allah mentions several behaviors to avoid, such as pride and arrogance. This verse concludes by saying that all that is evil among these actions is detested by Him. This shows us that Allah does not love wickedness, and He encourages us to stay away from it. In our daily lives, we may be tempted by evil words or deeds. This verse invites us to reflect before acting: if it is evil, Allah detests it, so let us avoid it. This helps us choose good and purify our behavior.
Today, before you say or do something, ask yourself: 'Is this evil?' If so, choose to refrain from it.
