The Best Word

This verse invites us to choose the best word in our interactions.

يَقُولُواْ ٱلَّتِي هِيَ أَحۡسَنُۚ

that they say what is best

Quran, Al-Isra 17:53

Allah tells His Prophet to command the believers to utter the finest words. The verse explains that Satan seeks to sow discord among people. He is a clear enemy of mankind. Thus, a harsh word can open the door to division.

In our daily lives, we can choose soothing words, even in disagreement. This requires vigilance and self-control. Choosing the best word protects relationships and avoids the traps of the enemy.

Today, before replying to someone, take a second and choose a gentle and constructive wording.
