This verse teaches us a supplication to accompany our movements.
"My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance and to exit a sound exit and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority."
Quran, Al-Isra 17:80
In this verse, Allah teaches the Prophet ﷺ to ask Him to enter and exit with sincerity (ṣidq). This means that every action, every step, can be done with uprightness and honesty. The verse associates this sincerity with a request for support: a power or authority that comes from Allah and helps. In our daily lives, we constantly enter and exit: from home, work, public places. This supplication reminds us to intend sincerity in our comings and goings, and to rely on Allah's help to act rightly.
Today, before leaving your house, say this supplication (or part of it) with the intention to act with sincerity.
