The Quran was revealed gradually to be read with deliberation.
And a Quran which We have separated [by intervals] that you might recite it to the people over a prolonged period. And We have sent it down progressively.
Quran, Al-Isra 17:106
This verse teaches us that the Quran was revealed in stages, so that it could be read calmly and thoughtfully. This gradual revelation invites us to take time to meditate on each passage. In our daily lives, we can adopt this same slowness: reading a few verses attentively rather than skimming long pages. This helps us understand better and let the message touch our hearts.
Today, choose three verses of the Quran and read them slowly, reflecting on their meaning.
