الصَّلَاةُ وَالزَّكَاةُ
In this verse, Jesus reminds us that Allah has enjoined upon him prayer and zakah for his entire life.
وَأَوۡصَٰنِي بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ مَا دُمۡتُ حَيّٗا
And He has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive.
Quran, Maryam 19:31
Jesus, speaking from the cradle, affirms that Allah has made him blessed and entrusted him with two essential practices: prayer and zakah. These acts of worship are presented as a continuous commitment, to be observed throughout life. This recommendation invites us to consider prayer and zakah as pillars of our daily routine. Today, we can reflect on how to incorporate them with consistency and care.
Today, perform a prayer with full presence of heart and set aside a small amount for zakah.
