Prepare Before the Day of Regret

This verse warns us of a day when regret will be immense.

وَأَنذِرۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡحَسۡرَةِ إِذۡ قُضِيَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ وَهُمۡ فِي غَفۡلَةٖ وَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded; and they are in heedlessness and do not believe.

Quran, Maryam 19:39

Allah asks to warn people of the Day of Regret, when everything will be decided. On that day, some will be heedless and unbelieving, as the verse mentions. The previous verse shows that the wrongdoers are today in clear error, and the next reminds that all will return to Allah.

This reminder invites us not to live carelessly. We can ask ourselves: what important actions are we postponing? Preparing means acting now with sincerity.
