رَحْمَة
This verse speaks of the mercy given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the honorable reputation Allah established for them.
وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحۡمَتِنَا وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُمۡ لِسَانَ صِدۡقٍ عَلِيّٗا
And We gave them of Our mercy, and We made for them a reputation of high honor.
Quran, Maryam 19:50
In the previous verse, Abraham separated himself from his people and what they worshipped besides Allah. Then Allah gave him Isaac and Jacob, both prophets. Verse 50 adds that Allah gave them of His mercy and granted them an honorable and truthful mention. This mercy is a free gift from Allah, not an automatic reward. It comes with a good reputation, a praiseworthy remembrance. This shows that Allah can grant His servants both His kindness and an honorable place among people.
Today, take a moment to thank Allah for a mercy you have received, then do an action that leaves a good impression, like a kind word or sincere help.
