Ishmael, mentioned in the Quran, showed the importance of encouraging one's family to worship Allah.
يَأۡمُرُ أَهۡلَهُۥ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ
He used to enjoin on his people prayer and zakah.
