خُشُوع
The prophets, guided by Allah, responded to the verses with deep humility.
إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ خَرُّواْۤ سُجَّدٗاۤ وَبُكِيّٗا۩
When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping.
Quran, Maryam 19:58
This verse describes prophets chosen by Allah. Upon hearing His verses, they prostrated and wept. Their reaction shows a living heart, moved by the divine word. Today, we can cultivate this humility. When we read or listen to the Quran, let our hearts be moved. Tears are not necessary, but sincere attention and inner openness are precious.
Before reading a page of the Quran today, pause and ask Allah for a humble heart, then read slowly and reflect.
