تَقْوَى
This verse gives us good news: Paradise is reserved for those who live with piety.
تِلۡكَ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِي نُورِثُ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِيّٗا
That is Paradise, which We give as inheritance to those of Our servants who were fearing of Allah.
Quran, Maryam 19:63
In this verse, Allah describes Paradise as an inheritance He gives to His pious servants. The key word is taqwā, piety, which means a vigilant consciousness of Allah in our actions. The previous verse mentions peace and provision in Paradise, and this one specifies who benefits: those who have cultivated this piety. Today, we can plant seeds of piety in our daily lives. Every small action done with sincerity and awareness of Allah brings us closer to this inheritance. Piety is not reserved for an elite; it is accessible to all who strive.
Today, perform a simple action with a sincere intention for Allah, like a smile or discreet help, thinking that it is part of your piety.
