Signs for those who reflect

This verse invites us to observe nature to recognize signs.

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّأُوْلِي ٱلنُّهَىٰ

Indeed in that are signs for those of intelligence.

Quran, Taa-Haa 20:54

In the previous verses, Allah reminds that He made the earth a bed, inserted roadways, and sent down rain producing plants. Verse 54 adds that these realities are signs for those who reflect.

Today, we can meditate on the food we eat and the earth that produces it. These visible elements speak to us of Allah's power and wisdom.

Take a fruit or vegetable, observe it for a few moments, and reflect on what it takes for it to reach you.
