رَجَاء
This verse invites us to hope for the highest ranks with Allah through faith and righteous deeds.
But whoever comes to Him as a believer having done righteous deeds - for those will be the highest degrees [in position].
Quran, Taa-Haa 20:75
The verse associates faith and righteous deeds to attain the highest ranks. It does not promise these ranks to faith alone, nor to deeds alone, but to their combination. The previous verse mentions the fate of the criminal; this one contrasts by describing the believer who acts rightly. In our daily life, we can nurture this hope by connecting every small action to our faith. Performing a good deed with sincerity, even a modest one, brings us closer to this divine promise.
Today, perform a simple good deed, like helping someone or saying a kind word, while connecting it to your faith in Allah.
