تَوْبَة
This verse reveals the door to divine forgiveness.
وَإِنِّي لَغَفَّارٞ لِّمَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا ثُمَّ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ
But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.
Quran, Taa-Haa 20:82
Allah promises His forgiveness to those who combine three attitudes: repentance, faith, and righteous deeds. The verse then adds perseverance in guidance. These elements are associated, not presented as a simple condition. In our daily lives, we can apply this by sincerely turning back to Allah after a mistake, strengthening our faith, and performing a useful act. Forgiveness is not reserved for an elite: it is offered to anyone who embarks on this path.
Today, identify a mistake, ask Allah for forgiveness, then perform a concrete good deed.
