إِخْلَاص
Moses explains why he hastened to his Lord.
وَعَجِلۡتُ إِلَيۡكَ رَبِّ لِتَرۡضَىٰ
"And I hastened to You, my Lord, that You be pleased."
Quran, Taa-Haa 20:84
In this verse, Moses answers Allah who asks why he left his people. He says they are close behind him and that he hastened to his Lord to seek His pleasure. This haste shows his eagerness to obey and please Allah. In our daily lives, we can hasten to Allah by doing good deeds with the sincere desire to please Him, not to be seen or praised. Every simple act can be done with this intention.
Today, do a good deed (help someone, pray an extra prayer, say a kind word) promptly, with the sincere intention of seeking Allah's pleasure.
