نِسْيَان
This verse teaches us that neglecting Allah's signs has a direct consequence.
أَتَتۡكَ ءَايَٰتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَاۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ تُنسَىٰ
"Our signs came to you, and you forgot them; thus today you are forgotten."
Quran, Taa-Haa 20:126
In this passage, Allah responds to the one who asks why he is raised blind. The answer is clear: Allah's signs came to him, but he forgot them. This forgetfulness is not mere distraction; it reflects an attitude of negligence towards divine teachings. The following verse specifies that it concerns the one who transgresses and does not believe in the signs. Thus, the forgetfulness mentioned is linked to a lack of regard. For us, this invites us to appreciate the value of Allah's signs and not to take them lightly.
Today, choose one of Allah's signs (like the sun or rain) and take a minute to contemplate it, reflecting on its perfection.
