Patience and Praise

This verse guides the believer when facing hurtful words.

فَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ قَبۡلَ طُلُوعِ ٱلشَّمۡسِ وَقَبۡلَ غُرُوبِهَاۖ وَمِنۡ ءَانَآيِٕ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡ وَأَطۡرَافَ ٱلنَّهَارِ لَعَلَّكَ تَرۡضَىٰ

So be patient over what they say and exalt with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting, and during periods of the night and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied.

Quran, Taa-Haa 20:130

The verse commands to bear people's words with patience. It associates this patience with celebrating Allah's praises at specific times: before sunrise, before sunset, during the night, and at the ends of the day. These moments mark the believer's day.

In daily life, when we face criticism or mockery, we can turn to praising Allah. This helps us maintain our composure and refocus our hearts on what truly matters.
