صَبْر
This verse presents three exemplary prophets known for their patience.
وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ وَإِدۡرِيسَ وَذَا ٱلۡكِفۡلِۖ كُلّٞ مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
And [mention] Ishmael and Idrees and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient.
Quran, Al-Anbiyaa 21:85
The verse mentions Ishmael, Idrees, and Dhul-Kifl, describing them all as patient. It does not detail their trials but associates them with this quality. The following verse clarifies that they were admitted into Allah's mercy, for they were among the righteous. In our daily lives, patience is a strength. It helps us endure hardships without losing hope. We can draw inspiration from these prophets to remain steadfast in our efforts and faith.
Today, identify a difficulty you are facing and make an intention to be patient towards Allah, remembering the example of these prophets.
