دُعَاء
Zechariah turns to Allah with a specific request.
رَبِّ لَا تَذَرۡنِي فَرۡدٗا وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثِينَ
"My Lord, do not leave me alone, while You are the best of inheritors."
Quran, Al-Anbiyaa 21:89
In this verse, Zechariah calls upon his Lord. He asks Him not to leave him without offspring. He acknowledges that Allah is the best of inheritors: everything returns to Him, and He can give whatever He wills. This verse teaches us that we can address Allah directly for our needs. Zechariah expresses his weakness and his trust. Today, we can do the same, in our own words, for what matters to us.
Take a minute to make a personal supplication, in your own words, and ask Allah for what you need.
