Clear Verses, Divine Guidance

This verse reminds us that the Quran was sent down as clear signs.

أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ ءَايَٰتِۭ بَيِّنَٰتٖ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَهۡدِي مَن يُرِيدُ

Thus have We sent it down as clear verses, and indeed Allah guides whom He wills.

Quran, Al-Hajj 22:16

In this verse, Allah states that He has sent down the Quran as clear verses. This clarity is a characteristic of the Book itself. The verse associates this clear revelation with divine guidance: Allah guides whom He wills.

For us, this means the Quran is clear in itself, but guidance comes from Allah. We can read and ponder these verses, while knowing that He is the One who opens hearts.
