This verse reminds Abraham of the condition of worship: associate nothing with Allah and purify His House.
"Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate."
Quran, Al-Hajj 22:26
Allah shows Abraham the site of the Kaaba and gives him two tasks: to associate nothing with Allah and to purify the House for the worshippers. The verse links pure monotheism with the cleanliness of the place of worship. Today, we can apply this by ensuring our prayer area is clean and by purifying our intention: to worship Allah alone, without seeking to impress others.
Before your next prayer, check the cleanliness of your prayer spot and silently intend to worship Allah alone.
