وسع
This verse reminds us that every divine obligation is proportioned to our abilities.
وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفۡسًا إِلَّا وُسۡعَهَا
And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity.
Quran, Al-Muminoon 23:62
Following the previous verses that describe believers hastening to good deeds, this verse clarifies that Allah only asks each person what they can bear. It is not an excuse to slacken, but an invitation to give one's best, without comparing oneself to others. In daily life, this encourages us to act with sincerity and consistency, according to our strengths and circumstances. We can thus progress peacefully, without guilt or excessive pressure.
Today, choose a good deed within your capacity (a prayer on time, a kind word, a help) and do it with care.
