مِيزَان
This verse invites us to hope for success by accumulating good deeds.
فَمَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful.
Quran, Al-Muminoon 23:102
In this verse, Allah speaks of the Day when deeds will be weighed. Those whose scales are heavy with good deeds are declared successful. The following verse clarifies that those whose scales are light will have lost their souls. Thus, the heaviness of the scale is a sign of success. Each day, we can add weight to our scale through simple acts: a kind word, a helping hand, a moment of gratitude. These actions, even small, count. They nourish hope in Allah's mercy.
Today, perform one extra good deed, such as sincerely smiling at someone or helping a person, with the intention that it adds weight to your scale.
