عَفْو
This verse invites us to forgive and overlook, for we love that Allah forgives us.
وَلۡيَعۡفُواْ وَلۡيَصۡفَحُوٓاْۗ أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَن يَغۡفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡۚ
Let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you?
Quran, An-Nur 24:22
In this verse, Allah addresses those who have been wronged. He asks them to forgive and overlook. Forgiveness is presented as a precious quality, linked to our own desire to be forgiven by Allah. In daily life, we may be hurt by others' words or actions. Forgiving does not mean forgetting, but choosing not to let resentment dominate us. It is an act of strength and trust in Allah.
Today, identify someone who has wronged you and sincerely intend to forgive them, saying in your heart: 'I forgive for Allah's sake.'
