آيَات مُبَيِّنَات
Allah reminds us that He has sent down clear verses to guide us.
وَلَقَدۡ أَنزَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡكُمۡ ءَايَٰتٖ مُّبَيِّنَٰتٖ وَمَثَلٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوۡاْ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ وَمَوۡعِظَةٗ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ
We have sent down to you distinct verses, an example of those who passed before you, and an admonition for the pious.
Quran, An-Nur 24:34
This verse brings together three gifts: clear verses, an example from the past, and an admonition for those who fear Allah. It does not say these are the cause of piety, but it associates them as a set of guidance. In our daily life, we can meditate on these verses and find landmarks. They help us discern good and remind us that piety is an enlightened path.
