This verse describes men whom worldly occupations do not divert from the remembrance of Allah.
whom neither commerce nor sale distracts from the remembrance of Allah and performance of prayer and giving of zakah
Quran, An-Nur 24:37
The verse brings together three essential acts: remembrance of Allah, prayer, and zakah. It specifies that trade and sale should not make one forget these duties. These men also fear the Day when hearts and eyes will be agitated. In our lives, work and daily activities can absorb us. This verse invites us to take a break to remember Allah, even in the midst of our occupations.
Today, during your work or activities, take a two-minute break to say: 'SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar'.
