مَتَابًا
This verse teaches us how to return to Allah after a mistake.
وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَإِنَّهُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابٗا
And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance.
Quran, Al-Furqaan 25:71
This verse associates two actions: repenting and doing good deeds. It does not say that repentance erases everything automatically, but it shows that the one who turns to Allah sincerely reaches Him. The previous verse clarifies that Allah changes evil deeds into good ones for those who believe and act righteously. In our daily life, we may feel far from Allah after an error. This verse reminds us that the path back is always open. We just need to turn to Him with a sincere heart and perform a concrete good deed.
Today, after each prayer, ask Allah for forgiveness and do one small useful action, like helping someone or saying a kind word.
