قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ
This verse teaches us to ask Allah for a family that is a source of happiness.
رَبَّنَا هَبۡ لَنَا مِنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعۡيُنٖ وَٱجۡعَلۡنَا لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
"Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous."
Quran, Al-Furqaan 25:74
This verse combines two requests: a family that delights the heart and the wish to be an example for the righteous. It does not say these two things are causally linked, but it associates them in one supplication. In daily life, we can make this supplication for our family. It reminds us to entrust the well-being of our loved ones to Allah and to strive to be a good influence ourselves.
