الطَّمَعُ فِي الْمَغْفِرَة
This verse teaches us to hope for Allah's forgiveness for our sins.
وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَطۡمَعُ أَن يَغۡفِرَ لِي خَطِيٓـَٔتِي يَوۡمَ ٱلدِّينِ
And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense.
Quran, Ash-Shu'araa 26:82
In this passage, Prophet Abraham speaks about Allah. He reminds that Allah will cause him to die and then bring him to life, and that He is the One from whom he hopes forgiveness for his sins on the Day of Judgment. This verse combines faith in resurrection and hope for forgiveness. We also make mistakes. But we can turn to Allah with confidence, asking for His forgiveness. This hope helps us not to despair and to continue doing good.
Today, say: 'My Lord, I hope for Your forgiveness for my sins' and do a sincere good deed.
