وَرَثَةُ الْجَنَّة
In his prayer, Ibrahim asks Allah to count him among the inheritors of Paradise.
وَٱجۡعَلۡنِي مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure.
Quran, Ash-Shu'araa 26:85
This verse is part of a long supplication by the prophet Ibrahim. He asks Allah to grant him an honorable mention, then to place him among the inheritors of the Garden of Delight. The word 'inheritors' suggests a grace received, not a merit earned. Like Ibrahim, we can hope for this gift and ask for it humbly. This hope encourages us to persevere in faith and good deeds, without ever despairing of Allah's mercy.
