عَدَمُ الْخِزْي
This verse expresses a deep plea: not to be covered with disgrace on the Day of Resurrection.
وَلَا تُخۡزِنِي يَوۡمَ يُبۡعَثُونَ
And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected.
Quran, Ash-Shu'araa 26:87
Verse 26:87 is part of a supplication. It asks Allah not to humiliate us on the Day when all will be resurrected. The following verse clarifies that on that Day, neither wealth nor children will be of any use. This shows the importance of this prayer: it concerns our eternal dignity. In our daily lives, we can turn to Allah with this same request. It reminds us that our true worth does not depend on our riches or our circle, but on Allah's mercy. This hope encourages us to act with sincerity and humility.
Today, in one of your prayers, repeat this plea: 'My Lord, do not disgrace me on the Day of Resurrection.'
