Do not follow the transgressors

This verse warns us against obeying those who exceed limits.

وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓاْ أَمۡرَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ

And do not obey the order of the transgressors

Quran, Ash-Shu'araa 26:151

In this passage, the speaker asks to avoid following the orders of those who exceed limits. The next verse clarifies that these transgressors spread corruption on earth and do not amend. Thus, it is about resisting pressures that lead to excess.

In our daily lives, we may be tempted to follow influential people who push us to extremes, whether in consumption, anger, or other areas. This verse reminds us to think before acting and not to blindly give in.

Today, before acting, ask yourself if your action might be excessive or harmful. If so, choose moderation.
