Prophet Shu'ayb reminds us that his reward comes only from Allah.
إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
My reward is only from the Lord of the worlds.
Quran, Ash-Shu'araa 26:180
In this verse, Prophet Shu'ayb tells his people that he does not ask them for any payment for his advice. He clarifies that his reward is only with Allah, the Lord of all worlds. This shows complete sincerity: acting for Allah, not for people. We can apply this in our daily actions. When we help someone or do a good deed, let us seek Allah's pleasure, not thanks or recognition. This purifies our intention and frees us from dependence on others' opinions.
Today, do a good deed in secret, without anyone knowing, telling yourself that your reward comes from Allah.
