عدم البخس
This verse teaches us to respect the rights of others and avoid corruption.
وَلَا تَبۡخَسُواْ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشۡيَآءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِينَ
And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption.
Quran, Ash-Shu'araa 26:183
In this verse, Allah commands us not to deprive people of what is rightfully theirs, whether in transactions or in daily life. He associates this injustice with corruption on earth, showing that these two behaviors are linked. Today, we can apply this by being honest in our dealings, returning what is entrusted to us, and not taking advantage of others' weakness. Every small action counts to maintain a just society.
Today, make sure you give everyone their due, even in small matters, like returning exact change or keeping a promise.
