This verse reminds us that the Quran was already mentioned in the scriptures of earlier peoples.
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِي زُبُرِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples.
Quran, Ash-Shu'araa 26:196
This verse states that the Quran was already mentioned in the books of the earlier prophets. It does not say that those books contained the entire Quran, but that its coming was announced there. This shows the continuity of the divine message throughout time. Today, we can reflect on this continuity. The Quran did not come from nowhere; it is part of a long history of revelation. This strengthens our trust in its truth and invites us to read it with respect.
Take two minutes to reflect on a verse of the Quran you know and note how it resonates with your life.
