Starting with Allah's Name

In a letter, Solomon begins with the Name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Quran, An-Naml 27:30

This verse is part of a letter sent by Solomon to a queen. It shows that even in official correspondence, one can begin with the Name of Allah. This phrase reminds us that every action can be placed under the sign of His mercy.

In our daily life, we can adopt this habit. Before writing a message, starting a meal, or beginning a task, saying 'Bismillah' helps us remember Allah and entrust our action to Him.

Today, before writing a message (text, email), write or say 'Bismillah' and be mindful that you are starting with Allah's Name.
