حُزْن
This verse calms the heart when facing others' schemes.
وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا تَكُن فِي ضَيۡقٖ مِّمَّا يَمۡكُرُونَ
And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire.
Quran, An-Naml 27:70
In this verse, Allah consoles His Prophet ﷺ. He tells him not to grieve for those who reject the message, nor to be distressed by their conspiracies. The previous verse invites us to see the end of criminals, and the next shows their impatience. So, sadness and distress are not necessary. When someone plots against us, sadness can overwhelm us. This verse teaches us to entrust our affairs to Allah and remain patient. Patience is not weakness, but strength.
Today, if someone harms you, say inwardly: "Allah is sufficient," and do a useful action to distract yourself.
