تِلَاوَة
This verse commands the Prophet to recite the Quran, then reminds that guidance benefits the one who receives it.
وَأَنۡ أَتۡلُوَاْ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَۖ فَمَنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهۡتَدِي لِنَفۡسِهِۦ
"And to recite the Qur'an. And whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] himself."
Quran, An-Naml 27:92
Verse 27:92 is part of a passage where the Prophet describes what he has been commanded: to worship Allah and to recite the Quran. Immediately after, the text states that whoever is guided is guided for his own good, and whoever strays cannot blame the Prophet, who is only a warner. Thus, reciting the Quran is an act of transmission, but guidance depends on each person. We can apply this by listening to or reading the Quran with the intention of drawing lessons for ourselves, without expecting any external reward.
